A Flame's Journey

Starting with little power and heat

its journey begins

Starting to grow

it grows more vivid and vivacious

It starts to burn brighter and stronger

stretching its flame a little longer

chasing its dream to be powerful

wanting to shine in life

to be the best flame

overcoming anything in its path

sometimes forceful and angry

sometimes calm and gentle

getting wild at times

It has its burnouts but stays strong

and starts again

People fight its power to extuinguish the flame

always doing its best to continue burning

but it cannot burn forever

It really is a shame

Eventually, the flame's journey is over

but not for long

for one day, its journey will begin again

Nice shape to this poem. It has a modern feel to it, which is great. I don't see anything in it to complain about. I think that you understand beautiful meaning, and that you can do great things by embedding that into your poetry. Keep up the good work.
