Storm

Storm

A Poem by Stephanie W.

Out under the stars

The stars that watched us fall apart.

Grass up to our knees and secrets locked down deep.

They shone above our tumbling bodies,

A cat's cradle of limbs and follies.

And all I wanted was to hold you,

But you were never mine to hold.

My heart beat to a faulty rhythm.

And though I saw you standing there,

The vision was skewed within a prism.

I felt you slip between my fingers,

A flowing sweetness left to linger.

And my heart was made of string that you keep wrapped around your finger.

ohh what loveliness..how sweet
out under the stars..as they watched us fall apart
grass up to knees and secrets locked down deep
shone above trembling bodies
all i want ,was to hold you, you were never mine
my heart beat to the wrong rhythm
yet i saw you standing there
i felt you slip through my fingers
flowing sweetness still feels to linger
my heart made of string wrapped round your finger
God how lovely this is,so sweet ,so tender, sweet words of love
lovely write..
