Fear to love again!

You say you love me

But how can I know?

You say you'll never leave me

But how can I know?

 

You want me to open my heart

I keep it shut tight

Fear of the pain I've had in the past

For all the love that didn't make it

 

You say you love me

But I want to be sure

You ask what more can I do?

Can't you open your heart?

 

When you bring me flowers

My heart opens alittle

When you kiss me

My heart opens more

When you say you love me

I shut my heart back tight

 

You need me

You want me

You love me

Please open up!

Want you take a chance?

 

I need you

I want You

I love you

Will I open up?

Will I take a Chance?

What does opening up look like? I thought about that while reading your poem. In the beginning we do feel, we love someone for ever, we will never leave them but what do we base this feeling or thought on? Usually a feeling and feelings come and go so if one doesn't love for the right reasons then they will leave one day. On the other hand there is no way of knowing if that love is to be forever unless you give a chance. Your poem ask good questions and gives great examples. It is perfect for love.

I could tell that you're a bit scared to give out your heart. I understand, almost everyone is like that. I , too was sacred to do the same. However, I realized that it is a lot better to give it a try than to have questions left unanswered.
