Gabriel Rising

Gabriel Rising

A Poem by Archangel Gabriel

Gabriel Rising

He watched the horror unfold

as the Bringer of Light

became lowered in blackness

and was cast to hell's gate,

there to dance with putrid flesh.

He stood, arms folded,

drew himself, bulging biceps, iron torso,

to his full height.

Golden locks flowing in the warm

breeze of heaven’s zephyr,

He let his soft wings unfurl

and held them aloft,

a guardian

the protector

his mission clear.

Thank you Leslie have corrected the error
This ones interesting, it has such strong imagery and feels more like a short clip from a fable than a poem. A yet it reads so smooth. I like it.
