Big Cat Senyru

 

The Stalker

I stalk across quiet

earth, you firmly in my sights

silently closer.

 

The Hunter

My muscled shoulders

show my strength as the hunter

and I see you prey.

 

The Watcher

For now I simply

watch in anticipation

but soon I will eat.

 

The Anticipator

I will strip you bare

and have my fill of your heart,

take you as I will.

 

The Killer

I pounce upon you

my jaws gripping your pale throat

until you are mine.

very interesting write! big cats are the best. my only constructive criticism would be if you title one of the sections something, no need to include that word again in the poem itself. for example in the stalker, you could start with something other than 'i stalk' but otherwise i really liked this!

An interesting collection of Senryu, with a great build up from stalking to the actual kill. I love the idea of big cats, and how they are instincual beings that stalk, hunt, watch, anticipate and eventually kill. An apt write.
