Requiem for the Devil

Your sad corpse

will dangle from the gallows

of Heaven.

‘Hangers-on’ will not step forward

to weigh down your demise.

For none will mourn your passing.

Even your black angels

will hope to be your Judas,

leaving you to suffer

the fate you so richly deserve,

so that their charcoal souls

will be forgiven such putrid sins.

So rest, but not in peace Lucifer,

rest in the eternal torment you deserve,

the account you ran up

in defiling the rights

of the children of this Earth

and defying the Angel of  God.

I'm confused, is this about a person or about satan and his demons. Your passion and anger come through very potent. Is there congruity in such anger and a profoundly loving God. You've written an interesting piece with good artistic merit, well done.
