Gabriel’s Pledge

I am the avenging Angel,

the right arm of our Lord;

I will for all time

protect the souls of the innocent.

You shall know the truth

and the truth shall make you free,

as we cast off Satan’s chains

and turn our hearts to the light.

In that light lies beauty,

the majesty of sharing thoughts,

exploring dreams

and enjoying one another’s souls

as we lay them naked

in our innocence,

upon these heavenly pages.

upon these heavenly pages." I love the way you are expressing this and making it very concise---yet powerful. You are proving that you do not have to go on and on with words and phrases to get the creative point across. It does a wonderful job of tying into the title of the poem as well.
