Tending Gabriel

Tending Gabriel

A Poem by Archangel Gabriel

Tending Gabriel

Oh great warrior,

you fight a battle where none ought be fought.

These fallow lands hold no grace,

for he has little sway here among the common folk,

whether they be saint or sinner.

Conserve your passion for his killing grounds

where you may best defend the faith

of the weak and the just.

Where you may rise in splendid majesty,

your great wings outstretched,

to slay the Devil’s spawn

lest it multiply and spread that putrid disease

to all the peoples of the Earth.

Hold fast your mighty fist,

lay down your trusted broadsword,

save your sacred strength for the battle to come.

In the meantime let me heal your wounds

and sooth your brave soul.

Let my soft skin and sweet breasts be your comfort.

Let my kisses warm your hope,

my complete surrender to your desire

welcome you deep within my loins and

let me make you whole again.

Reminded me of my short story, Prince of Warriors. Another Warrior that defends the Earth and the good of the Earth against evil spawns and then when his victory is won, he retreats to his love for healing.

A truly lasting Epic poem of prose. I love all the passion as well as the compassion of your colorful word painting and phrasing. This is certainly a most timeless piece that could fit into any time span or actual age and be just as creatively meaningful.
Great job my friend.
