As Angels Watch

He stands upon the plains of heaven,

his mighty torso filled with grief

as he sees the Devil’s doing

played out

across the slaughtered world beneath.

He knows such evil provides a gauge

against which to measure faith,

but still such needless suffering

leaves him

filled with such a powerful rage.

He vows that he will fight forever

to defend man’s heart from Satan’s charm

and dedicates his sword in worship

to save

earth bound souls from such hell-sent harm.
