Midnight Love's Foray

Midnight Love's Foray

A Poem by Susan 🦋

Come love, take my hand tonight,
hold me now ’til morn's first light …
soothes our weary day ~ love’s fragrant bouquet.

Mated lips quench growing thirsts,
interludes sweetly immersed …
joined rhythmic ballet ~ stroking cares away.

Sheer oneness in utter bliss,
we can't join closer than this ...
whispered breaths portray, sighs urge thighs a’splay.

Heavenly union ~ we’re one;
in comparing us, there’s none.
Shun all gainsay … true love’s ne'er passé.

Velvet touch, traced hinder-most,
each lush sensation’s engrossed ...
warm passions gain sway ~ midnight love’s foray

this is sensual without being blunt...it whispers strongly of passion...and lets us imagine.
and more than just about the physical act, this is about a closeness that only comes when there is a real emotional and mental attachment as well.
two bodies coming together, but also two minds, two hearts.
beautiful...and i see the influence of the old poets...most definitely.

Thank you for reading and the thoughtful review! I love expressing a feeling...
The entwining of mutual attentions encapsulated within eloquent prose and wordplay - just exquisite to read and soak up the ambiance - got the ahhhhh factor! :-)

:-)) What a sweet review!! Thank you so much!
I love how the 1st and 4th verse rhyme and the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th verses rhyme with each other. With 5 verses, it has a song-like quality to it.

working on it sent you something
What is it about hands.. that picture is.. a monument to photography. It lingers as eyes travel your words.. in Picalai.. (that word trickles off the tongue!). ' .. Velvet touch, traced hinder-most, each lush sensation’s engrossed ... '

How thought provoking is that. Beautiful form, lovely words.

Hope my words mean just a little something to you... one can only hope to achieve some contact or another!
