Corrine's Song

Corrine's Song

A Poem by Sweet Emotions
"

A friend of mine believes her boyfriend hits her because she was bad. This is my song for her.

"

I wish you’d open your mind

And see that this is all wrong

It’s not your fault honey

Stop thinking you’re a bad girl

You didn’t earn this

And you didn’t deserve this

Believe me when I tell you

This needs to stop before he kills you

Your broken ribs and bruises

Evidence of his anger

Each one tells a story

Of how he’s too controlling

You did nothing to earn this

I swear you don’t deserve this

I’ll put a stop to it

Before he kills you

You’re such a sweet girl

He doesn’t know what he has

I wish I could stop what he’s doing

Sweetie if he rapes you again I’ll kill him

You're too good for him

You never deserved this

If it’s the last thing I do

I’ll stop him before he kills you

Honey you didn’t earn this

You really never deserved this

Believe me cause it’s true

He better stop before he kills you

This is such a sad song. Your friend Corrine doesn't deserve this, no girl deserves getting hit or raped. You captured these lyrics to your friends sad story very well. I hope she gets out of it soon. Please tell her that someone else is better than that and she's better than him. Excellent wording.
