Act Together

Act Together

A Poem by T. Smeltz
"

This is an attempt at spoken word.

"
Flippin and sighin and tryin and flyin. Keepin your head from doubtin and lyin.
Buyin and cryin the timin is dyin. Seein the lion of Zion is risin.
Raisin the haze and gaze on this line and
don't be so shocked when you're fightin the blind men.
The sinnin is winnin and spittin and grinnin
When dead men are bendin and grindin the endin
Sassin and passin the Lastin, you're crassin.
You're massin the blastin, you're last in this class end.
Keep castin you're laughin not fastin or prayin
But payin your way in the worse than the days end.
You're waitin for layin not sayin or stayin
Not slayin the bayin, but playin dismayin.
Not made in the one that's doin the savin.
Not carin or barin the weight that will cave in.
You're switchin the grippin but gripin and bitin
So just shut your mouth or lightenin be flyin.

I was a little confused when I first read this; it seems to jump around a bit. Other then that it's a great piece. A little short for spoken word in my opinion, but still very good.
