What I see in Her

What I see in Her

A Poem by J. M. Yeary

Her words…

Soft whispers of passion’s intentions
Melt over me with each sweet syllable
Caressing my ears, my heart, my soul

Her beauty…
Has no rival to envy over
Eyes like an emerald ocean
An aphrodisiac that consumes me

Her mind…
Boundless perception and verve
Capturing life’s acquaintance
Such vitality evokes my thirst

Her soul…
Where my heart’s days linger
In sweet rapture, longing for her
Where I awaken, desire, and live

Her touch…
Soft caresses tantalize my being
Her fingers tease my soul, and rouse desire
Clutching my heart in her sensual grasp

Her love…
Such sweet and utter perfection
Seizing my being with all she is
A perfect union of heart and soul

All of her…
All words fall tragically short of description
Full of endless wonder, flawless precision
Fulfillment she brings with each gentle kiss

Mmmm such beautiful words that linger within my soul, what a beautiful and spirited write, it intrigues me how a man can write like this with such passion, I thought only women could capture such tenderness in their writing. I was wrong you are masterful at it....Excellent

This is great. I have opened a new group called Rage against the mush which is a place to post any poems that are not about "love relatioships" or erotica. I would like for you to join. I'm looking for poems on nature, experiences in life of object poetry like the old pair of jeans you loved and couldn't throw away. I'm sick of poetry that ends up in the bedroom but bounces off the brain. I want stuff like, " Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" or "The Village Smithy"
I hope you'll consider as you have talent to spare.

Tightly constructed, very well put together (like the subject, I'm guessing?). Quality stuff.

I discovered this poem while I was looking through an old cemetery book at the courthouse in Crowell, Texas--a very good depiction of what most of us feel as we venture through life. Surely (at least .. more..
