What I see in Her

What I see in Her

A Poem by J. M. Yeary

Her words…

Soft whispers of passion’s intentions
Melt over me with each sweet syllable
Caressing my ears, my heart, my soul

Her beauty…
Has no rival to envy over
Eyes like an emerald ocean
An aphrodisiac that consumes me

Her mind…
Boundless perception and verve
Capturing life’s acquaintance
Such vitality evokes my thirst

Her soul…
Where my heart’s days linger
In sweet rapture, longing for her
Where I awaken, desire, and live

Her touch…
Soft caresses tantalize my being
Her fingers tease my soul, and rouse desire
Clutching my heart in her sensual grasp

Her love…
Such sweet and utter perfection
Seizing my being with all she is
A perfect union of heart and soul

All of her…
All words fall tragically short of description
Full of endless wonder, flawless precision
Fulfillment she brings with each gentle kiss

I should be reading you more - I didn't realize you had such a romantic heart and gift of eloquent language. This was penned with such affection and adoration, I could feel it - what a lucky woman to have such words written for her - your love is intense and gentle - a joy to read - Leah

This is my favorite part, also.

I love the irony in a writer, who has a gift for being able to find the right words, realizing that sometimes we are actually hindered by only having the use of that same language. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Your words are beautiful. I love the way you break down all the aspects of her to express all the ways she is loved.

Her soul
Where my hearts days linger
In sweet rapture, longing for her
Where I awaken, desire, and live

Lovely. Music to a woman's ears!
