Chapter 4

The library

is my

                   safe haven.

I hear the

                   buzzing

of the overhead

light, flickering,

                   struggling.

I hear the low

                   murmurs

of the students

around me, but

I don't

                   listen.

I try to blur

them out.

Afterall, they

would only be

                   adding

their

                   problems

to my own.

But some

                   people

just can't

                   handle

to be the

slightest bit

                   considerate

to the people

around them.

                   Censuring nothing

that vomits out

of their mouths.

Phone volumes

turned up to

maximum

                   annoyance

level.

The irritation

seeps deep into

my bones as I

try to simply

                   ignore

them, and

                   subdue

the monster

of irritability.
