Hold me down

This is another poem

Hold me down

 

Pain has always held me back

Always feeling like I truly lack

The drive I need to succeed

Always too fast, too much speed

Now its time to go slow

Heal myself and start to grow

Become the man I was meant to be

Show the world and let them see

All the gifts I have to share

Expose my soul for others to bear

That's really good. I'm trying to slow down and heal myself too. Heh. I've lost myself somewhere along the way. It's sad because I've gone through so much and come so far. Now I have to go through it all and find where I left myself behind.

Like you I once had a dark time and place in my life- it takes a lot to break free from it, sometimes we don't want to. Either way I totally relate to this poem. It's time to start living in the slow lane.
