Plague

Plague

A Poem by Shannon Miller

You plague me
When I wake
When I sleep
Your face
Your voice
Your touch

Walking dream
Waking nightmare
That won't end
Feelings of loss
Feelings of longing
Wont' desist

I dream of your face
And wake, ever sad
Thoughts of you
Will not cease
Never ending
Is the yearning

Affection is lost
Longing slowly replaced
By unyielding wrath
Pain breeds contempt
Anger and rage
Undying

But your face
Your smile
Your touch
Refuse to leave me
Longing and hate
For things once felt

Once everything
Now nothing
Emptiness where
You once laid
Naught but cold
Where you sat

Leave me
Let me go
Bring me peace
Don't harass me
With your ghost
Only memories

I want to forget
Move one
And let you go
Yet you stay
Haunting my days
Tormenting my nights

Don't stay
Please, go away
Retrieve your ghost
Banish your kiss
Let me live
Without your plague

Depentancy makes some one suffer if not willing. Good poem.
