Land"Choose"Going dark Note to note The melody of life in minor key Settled between promise and disillusion Never quite swayed to believe Hope that renders light Vertiginous on a ledge Prodded closer to the edge Repentance finds its way Amid the cacophony of voices Saying life is painted by an Impressionist Not a Realist (Realism had its day) Eyes focus Heavenward, hands raise to the Divine Shuttering out the bitter half light of the willful On a lark Going dark
