====Lunar Love====

Hope, fades first;

 

on the night,

we conceive new dreams.

the night,

of the new moon;

 

it begins.

 

love awakens,

from hibernation,

integrating:

      crescent

            per

                crescent.

 

emotions spring.

 

among neaps of

anxiety, excitement and fear,

some longing, love and desires,

                                     pack into one.

on the night of Mōhalu.

 

moon leaves.

 

reuniting under,

the silver rains of Hua;

lost lovers sail ashore.

spring blooms romance.

      

fulfilled, Hope shines.

 

affirming the old ones,

new promises are made.

moments devoured,

                  oblivious to realised fantasies.

until tide floods eyelids.

 

ships afloat.

 

on Māhealani,

for reason and obligations,

to fish for the future,

all sails must set sail,

 

while patience wanes.

 

pain consumes,

the gibbous of love,

disintegrating:

      crescent

         per

            crescent.

 

it ends.

 

watery eyes awaits the night,

                  to conceive new dreams.

lost, restless souls await,

                  the tide of the new moon.

 

and then, Hope fades.

I've got a confession. at first, I've just scrolled over, collecting ythe words in red :)

found all of the essentials that make up a "normal " (if you can call anything emotional normal. lol)
relationship. hopes, promises, love, and when it ends .. pain. a big deal of life is all about these, and your poem to me speaks of a little more than just "love "

beautiful write. :)
also noticed that the first line... the letters in red spell out "love"

What a gentle remainder of how relationships can indeed become inspiring. The images of the reflective moon are powerful within their element, as if "Lady Moon " depicted buy its gentle white and is embracing resplendor. Of course that we are also reminded of the challenges clearly emphasized by bold letters but it is great to have them as they make us sit up and pay attention. Sometimes just like the waxing and waning relationships have moments of insecurities of questions of doubts and therefore sadness -- all clealry shared in the narrative yet the message remains hopeful and the delivery very touching.

It is BEAUTIFUL! Oh my goodness Pushkar; when you publish; I will buy! The calmness; the journey; the emotional depths, the vision of love; is amazing.
