Nighttime

Nighttime

A Chapter by therisa

As the moon rises
She comes out
To hunt for food
Upon my angst
And dreams.

While
Others are settling
In their beds
I'm awake
With excess energy.

Seeking release
Which her gentle touch
Grants me
The ultimate fulfilment.

Holding a pen
The ink flows
Like the darkest blood
Spilt on a blank page.

Sated
My muse leaves
As sleep claims me
For another night.
