Dark Side Of A Soul

Dark Side Of A Soul

A Chapter by therisa

Can hear
Your Siren's call
As it lures me.

Like a moth
Attracted to
A bright light.

Towards
My own doom.

Drunken
Upon your pheromones
I glide forth
At your beck
And call.

Oblivious
To the world
Around me
As I follow
Your scent.

Spinning me
Around
In your webs
Of deceit.

Moving
Ever deeper
Losing myself
In your spell.

Until
Nothing remains
But my broken soul.

Upon
Your sacrificial altar
Of discarded lovers
And jilted spouses.

Being offered
To your super ego
As trophies.

therisa
Used to know, this type of personality, during my university days, at Carleton University. Luckily, I never became one of his trophies, to hang, upon his ego's bedroom walls.

love is a strong entity, and often we do become its sacrificial lambs.
