War for All

War for All

A Poem by Yes
"

I wrote this a long while back, I was probably about ten or eleven, and I've just digitalized it. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

"
In a war that kills many,
One man is not a lot.
I can tell you what he is,
and I can tell you what he's not.

He's not just a person, he's a soldier
Fighting for you and me.
He's not a coward,
He fights for his country.

He is somebody, a brother,
Father, husband or someone's son,
Or maybe he's just waiting
for theis war to be done.

Maybe he has a wife
And a baby on the way,
It's a very special time
And he'd like to be here today.

When you pick up your newspaper,
And see the war's claimed another life,
He's not just a number, he's
Someone's brother, father, son or wife.

So when you leave
And see another's passed away,
Remember that he was someone
On that very day.
