a love letter to Maine

a love letter to Maine

A Poem by the tipsy writer

Thoreau loved Maine and I understand why

With its subtle, ancient wisdom

Demure mountains contrasted against the Rockies,

Which scream and yell their existence.

Within Walden, within Maine, there is simplicity

There is being for the sake of being.

Living deliberately and fronting essential facts

A quiet backdrop for inward looking,

Quiet, yet inspiring!
