For You

Every day,
I text you.
The smiling faces
And sweet, sweet compliments
Get to me in every way.

From the most weirdest conversations ever,
To some of the deepest ones I've had.
Some words cannot describe
The thoughts that seem to swarm my head
Day after day - Night after Night.

You may not realize
How important you are to me.
Please don't leave,
Not now at least.
You're my whole world.

I always fear that one day
We'll be forever apart
And I cannot begin to think about that day.
I love you for who you are
You bring out the best of me...

Your shining eyes,
Your amazing smile
Your great hugs
Your nearly perfect personality
And you in general.

What you mean to me
I cannot describe.
You haven't walked out on me
Like everyone else.
Which makes you that much more important.

I remember just about every text
That you've ever sent me.
From beginning until now.
I finally figured out I mean so much to you
But I'm scared to lose you.

I love picturing myself with you
On these warm summer nights
Watching the stars come out as the sun sets
Having you make me feel so safe.

Looking from how we started out
To where we are now
Makes all of this feel so unbelievable.
Complimenting me, reminding me you love me makes
It seem like a dream even more.

I know this isn't a dream.
But all of our poems gave me inspiration
To dedicate and write this to you.
So you know what I couldn't ever say
As always, I'll be here.
