Acceptance

Acceptance

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

be true to thy self

"

Acceptance

Acceptance, acceptance, acceptance,

How much can I bite before I Chew?

I’ve been through this dilemma,

Yet there’s always something new.

Can a bark be louder and more than it is true?

Coming from all directions,

 I really thought I knew.

Running with this question,

 I beat around the bushel.

With hopes I’ll find the answer

That for me would seem so crucial,

Yet

I’ll cry, I’ll laugh and smile,

For

Me, my self, and I,

And

Put away that pride.

 To

Catch my breath and sigh.

When we are able to transform our anger into understanding and penn such a message into that which touches other, it is considered a "job well done"!
Rage is certainly appropriate at times, and has the power to change when vented in the right way as you have done in your write!

Bushel/crucial... I like that one. This had a nice feel to it, I enjoyed following the thoughts and the rhymes. The first two lines are GREAT. Yep, pride is quite a tiger by the tail so to speak. I live and die by my own pride so I know the feeling. Very good stuff here Mauricio.

We should all cry, laugh and smile for our own self, ignore the voices we hear all around us...acceptance of our self is a good thing....this poem has a feeling of loud voices shouting, a feeling of being overwhelmed, strong emotions here, well done.

Accepting life as it is can be a frustrating experience and yet it is that same acceptance that makes us stronger...

nice work my friend...

Excellent flow, and I am so with you on this. I always tend to bite off much much much more than I could ever chew then find myself in situations, I don't particularly want to be in

With Love,

Jaidyn

Sometimes it is hard to bite our tongues and sometimes when we do for too long it ends up enraging us. This is a great way to vent those emotions and let them out. I have done this. Heck two of my recent poems are venting ones. lol
