Hide Then

Hide Then

A Poem by Choosing Life

I only get left over phone calls and love thoughts,

While you hold back on that real love for me.

Giving you my best repeatedly,

Laughing at jokes that ain’t even funny,

Stroking your ego and your manhood..

Giving you every inch of my depth,

While you have excuses of why you cant let go yet..

But I aint holding me breath

Cuz you so sure when your inside my sex..

My sugar walls taking your breath

And you can’t be sure…

A million times and promises to myself that I would wait

Till love took me by the hand

Yet my heart jumped the gun

Wanting to know your love

Wanting to introduce you to mine…

But it seems you would rather hide…

This is heartfelt and desirous, embracingly sensual, as well as modern.
You have a great way with intriguing analogies, this poem has a bit of a classic flow.
its opening the heart like a book, as each page tosses in the breeze of heartbreak
and what it means to move on, you have talent, keep up the great work.

I like this one. It doesn't come off as easy as your other pieces seem to do. Maybe it's because there's still something left there...something you're leaving out, perhaps. Almost as if you're telling this; but the thought kind of hurts, and you'd rather not.

I hear the vulnerability in this piece. Good write.
