Void and Gone

Void and Gone

A Poem by Bad Wolf~

The void
that’s what you left me for
nobody asked
neither you nor me
your face dissolves into dust
Was it even real?
memory’s a tricky thing

Not a footprint left of you
on the ground
but inside there is
Goodbye was impossible
Farewell was unspeakable
too dreadful and not expected

My sight used to be so clear
when you were by my side
Now I’m blinded, stumbling
falling over all these broken
pieces of a dream
Don’t know what’s real

Can you hear me?!
never mind, I stopped calling
had to move on from your painful souvenir
Walking down memory lane
or wishful thinking
both are torture and false friends
Cause the result is still the same
I open my eyes -
You’re not there.

yea of course!
The expressive tone in this read...
as a reader you feel the lines...
moment by moment...
engaging in the lost --- one is going through...
and the ending of this verse...just leaves...
you like the title: void and gone...
