Dancer in the sun

Dancer in the sun

A Poem by Sarah Redigan

Pulsing, pushing , destroying beauty,

Demolishing , praying , when word doesn’t come

Giving in , taking over in the darkness  it spreads

Running , tripping , falling right past it

When dreams become nightmares in your perfect havens

No inner peace to return to when your meadows burn

Inside a place with no escape

How alone are you?

Have you no light  in a soul ?

That your heaven is no longer home?

Inner depths so black and hollow

What happens to the light after all hope is gone

Dear dancer in the sun where has all peace gone?

Your questions are well versed, and gives one many reasons to think of what is the accepted normal......peace is not easily found when life is as this!

nthng doesn't exist
comes a time when you realize - there's just no goin' home from where you're at ...no matter how much you want to, need to, even HAVE to... you just can't

This could be interpreted in many different ways, making this very easy to relate to. Darkness could be anything but that feeling of trying to gain back peace that you've once had is a very strong feeling.
"When dreams become nightmares in your perfect heavens No inner peace to return to when your meadows burn." Great imagery, really connects to the senses.
Great piece.

Omg that picture is haunting beautiful. A very intense piece, felt like It was speaking about my life .. i was living this nightmare or dream.. It allows for reflection, a very well written poem. Favorited.
