Truth

Truth

A Poem by Sarah Redigan

Happy laughter in times of war
Take me piece by piece
Braking away from these bricks I've gained

Believe what i am saying to you

From lies we will never gain truth
In these words that flow from me
I speak from my soul to set my spirit free
Myself betrayed my deepest dreams to fit your ideal of how things should be

Love the impact your solitude of line invokes between the stanzas. This is both soft as it is harsh in tone. You are speaking with another and yet to everyone as well..Yourself begins the enlightened spark and the reader is left in flames. Beautiful~

Very sweet words my dear thank you 🎼🎵
From lies we will never gain truth
In these words that flow from me
I speak from my soul to set my spirit free ...true lines that are truly appreciated

welcome:)
In the truth we are set free,. Id rather have the misery of the truth than the melody of a lie
