A Poem by David Elijah
"

marchsecondtwentyeighteen.

"
looks like i'm praying
head down towards the pavement
but really i'm afraid to face
the messes i've made

the voices i hear speak blessing
pouring on me like rain
i grasp it to throw it away
disappearing like water down a drain

me and my friends
go to Your house every sunday
i think they're singing Your praise
but to me it's just karaoke

Spirit break out
break my stone heart down
i feel more lost than found
God this is where i'm at right now.

I like the thoughts and emotions in this poem.... The words are descriptive enough so I could understand your meaning...
