Worth

Worth

A Poem by David Elijah
"

julytwentysixth2018. a song.

"
Moments of pleasure seem to dance away.
like the beautiful display; of smoke in the sunray.
I'm always seeking the sweet aftertaste.
of a couple Newports break;ing my lungs with decay.

Well I don't care if it tears me apart.
As long as it helps you to despise who you are.
That seems worth it to me.
That seems worth it to me.

If the last thing a parent wants is the death of their child.
Then why did they decide to induce my desire to die.
By the fire in my left hand that their stupidity ignites.
It burns away the pain I sometimes feel late at night.

And I don't care if it tears me apart.
As long as it helps you to despise who you are.
That seems worth it to me.
That seems worth it to me.

Verse: Cadd9, Em7, Cadd9, TheGoodD
