A Poem by David Elijah

she said she wants to know who i am
wants to see the face behind the mask
she demands take it off
show me what youre made of

she tore my veil of clay
it falls to the ground and breaks
now she sees my face she knows
everything in my soul

and she ran away
no wonder i always stay fake
i never show my traits
my spirit is full of hatred

oh when she ran away
i didnt want a life that day
all my life i was filled with rage
and right now its on display
