Colors

Colors

A Poem by Lindsay.

I'm black and white

Simple as that

A beautiful mask

One without a crack.

I go day by day

And night by night

With color all around me.

But I just don't feel right.

In my mind's mirror

Black and white aren't seen.

I'm the colors of the rainbow

And everything in between.

And slowly but surely (thanks to you)

The mask cracks

The pieces begin to fall from my face

And soon there's no color to lack.

Beautiful emerald in my eyes.

The giggly blonde in my hair

And the stately red that is woven in it

And soon every color's there.

And as the last of my mask falls

And as the tears come, too.

I smile and calmly say

"I love you."

"And the stately red that is woven in it

And soon every color's there." (personally I think something like. "Soon every color shines from within" would sound better)

This is a good piece, i like the use of colors in your poem, you could add a little more colors though... like when you see every color of the rainbow say what they are maybe? that is just my opinion so take it or leave it lol... Great Job! I like the images you give the reader of the mask finally breaking off and cracking and such...
