You promised that you loved me

You said that you were sure

But the moment that you lost me

You moved right on to her

Although I didn't love you

You still did break my heart

I thought love was supposed to be true

But now that image is torn apart

As soon as we were through

You confessed to me your true feelings:

The whole time I thought you were true,

You had dreams of other dealings

Though you did not act on your dreams,

You told me so many lies

Am I as worthless as it seems?

And why won't you hear my cries?
