Burn the memories

Burn the memories

A Poem by Leo
"

My mind may adopt the future. But my heart has married the past

"
My mind may adopt the future
But my heart has married the past
Captivated by my memories
These things will forever last

I suffer when I reminisce
I laughed the pain away
But now that it is all so wrong
There is nothing more to say

With surgical skill, I cut it out
It beats in my bare hand
Shall I lust and nothing more
For our love is damned

Haunt me no longer
Beautiful angel of my past
I have burned all my memories
And this breath will be my last
