don’t cry

Okay so... this is my second poem (if you can call it that) I really don’t know where it came from... just idk

if one day,
you wake up
and I’m not next to you,
don’t cry.

don’t cry
because when I was alone
in the dark
my face stained with teardrops,
you weren’t there

don’t cry
because you weren’t bothered
to take 10 minutes
10 f*****g minutes
out of your life
to check whether or not
I was okay
after I had spent 3 hours
inside the bathroom

don’t cry
because unlike him,
you didn’t stay up at night
watching movies
eating popcorn
and telling me
how magical I was

don’t cry
because
when you saw me
that night
wrists slit open,
blood surrounding me,
all you did
was tell me
to ‘man up’

don’t cry
because
in some ways
you were the reason
I wasn’t next to you
when you woke up
