(49) Sleep Little One

(49) Sleep Little One

A Poem by Chris Smith Welshpoetcs
"

A lullaby for little ones

"

Sleep little one

There is no monster under your bed

I will keep you safe

So rest your weary head

Sleep little one

Close your tired eyes

The sandman is now here

Open them again at sunrise

Sleep little one

Your toys protect just for you

Watching out and always standing guard

Your proud teddy bear and your soldiers too

Sleep little one

Feel the love for you we share

Good night and have sweet dreams

For you, little one, we will always care

I had very vivid and scary nightmares when I was little, and still remember how good it was to be comforted by a grownup. This is a sweet poem and makes me happy for the little one.
