(61) Man In The Moon

(61) Man In The Moon

A Poem by Chris Smith Welshpoetcs

Looking up at the night sky
I see the Moon looking back
There is a face smiling at me
With the stars shining around

The man in the Moon has no troubles
He has no need to pay the bills everyday
He never goes hungry and never worries
At night, when you need him, he's there

The man in the Moon will never judge you
He will listen to the words you share
Never answers you back or puts you down
He always lends a shoulder for you to cry

Looking up at the night sky
I see the Moon looking back
There is a face smiling at me
Now I know I am smiling too

I wish that such a paradise was found daily! This stanza made me really float away from my problems and just drift into utter relaxation and calm. This piece is absolutely excellent my friend! Glad i've had the chance to read it Today!

I love looking at the moon, far away in the night sky,
but sometimes so close. This is a lovely write.

Unlike the people in our lives, the moon is a constant companion. Who better to trust your secrets to? Nicely done.

Very beautiful. We all need someone to talk to sometimes....even if that person is only noticable by us. It still helps. Like a diary.

Chris this made me think of a song by Conway Twitty called "I Don't Know A Thing About Love." I tried to find a link, but all I could find were covers. It is a great song, and this is a great piece. I really enjoyed this read!

Fine Write my friend!
