(66) Angel In shadows

(66) Angel In shadows

A Poem by Chris Smith Welshpoetcs
"

Collaboration with Chris Smith and Devil's Angel

"

I feel her reaching out to me

Embracing the sorrow in my soul

The pain that keeps me prisoner

My Angel is behind me now

Her wings comforting this darkness

I feel her reaching out to me

Releasing my stored up anger
Hate that prevents me from living
Taking her hand to my heart
Her touch transforming this vileness

She knows these feelings well

For she dwells in the shadows

This Angel takes away my nightmares

Absorbing the agony that I feel

Leaving me feeling her gift

I feel she was always here

All I had to do was see
From the heavens she was sent
To relight my inner soul
Waiting for me to be ready

An angel who dwells in the shadows and feeds on human agony. Such a being would be beloved for taking the pain away. But, should the human subject discover that the being is also causing much of his or her distress--and react rebelliously--then, of course, there would literally be hell to pay.
But that will probably be dealt with in the next collaboration.
This is an eeriely haunting poem; too real not to be frightening.

I believe there are always angels with us and walking among us. They are there to guide, enlighten and heal us. This was beautiful.
