I am not.

I am not.

A Poem by S.v. Rincon

I am not one of those;

the girls with skirts hiked up.

Nor am I the innocent,

The ones the world will f**k up.

I am not the one who smiles and belongs.

I am not the quiet type,

or the melencholy,

or the one whom follows the throngs.

I am an angry girl,

not pretty, but very polite.

I am not a damsel in distress,

but smart; very bright.

I don't take kindly to being told.

"you must be protected"

but I don't like the idea that

"Women shouldn't be respected."

I am bitchy,I am fierce,

but a friend forever,

and all the way.

Still, best to be careful

There are so many things to say.

Whatever, Does it matter?

Because;

I am simply

I am not.

My spirit rides and dances upon the wild wind. My heart soars upon the sun's beams and rests beneath the moon. My voice is loud and soft, heard but sometimes misunderstood...mistaken but known. I am a.. more..
