Objectivity

By Windstorm Kells ©2009

A smothering avalanche of humanity

Creates the dust of suffocation

Turning day into perpetual night

Panic stricken wanting to flee

Screaming dreams shattering reality

Ignore the signs warning of caution

Step forward, chase away the light

Pillars of sobering chaotic glee

Musically swaying flames lick a tree

Consuming hopelessness delight

Emotional geyser releases devastation

The cataclysm unfolds intensity

After the collapse of conformity

Many wander dazedly through creation

Tormented innocents of twilight

Time served in Hell’s fee

Panes of glass pleading curiosity

Whispered in the wind trepidation

A pleading boy cries silent fright

Eyes stung from the rigid bee

This was an interesting piece. I can't say that I gathered one specific thought or emotions from it but the one thing I can say is that it causes a lot of introspection and conscious thought of the world around us. Each stanza had its own personal image to ponder and I applaud any work that has that capability to do so. I particularly liked the line

Panes of glass pleading curiosity

It had a unique ring to it and the wording and imagery is spot on. Fantastic poem.

Interesting; I am not sure how I feel about this piece, it is both dark and hopeful at the same time and I can't really explain why I feel that way about it. Either way it has an good rhythm and flow to it. Good work.

/Panes of glass pleading curiosity/
This line was a delightful challenge for me. This piece offers so much more with each read as it invites the reader back again and again. It is compelling to say the very least as an awe inspiring work of poetry every reader who appreciates the best can and should revisit. A masterfully penned write.

Musically swaying flames lick a tree

i don't know why but i love the use of licking in description especially if giving personification.. just immediately flashes an image in my mind.. to imagine a flame licking a tree, very unique.

Eyes stung from the rigid bee

another great imagery line to compare those unwanted visuals to a bee sting in the eye. When words are put together like this they really come alive and make you feel the poem like a heart beats.

wonderful!

Wow, moving and very heartwrenching tale. Such chaos and gloom make my heart heavy although in these days such words are timeless. Thank you for sharing.
