What a sad, but vividly true commentary. Flower child here < believing if every man would treat everyone as they would want to be treated there might be a chance for a peaceful world. Humanity has fought since the beginning of time, with reasonings, without reason. Thanks you for sharing the awesome YOU! ~ :-)
So much to say..but I will not cloud the message..
"All we are saying"..as my hand reaches out to a new friend.. " We Have a Dream" & my voice continues to join the cry started so long ago.. " Give Peace A Chance
This is Bittersweet...a harsh world does force the guitar to play a more sullen tune of anguish...Times change and we can only reflect on the past with heartache.
"Give peace a chance"~ wonderful words of wisdom... Nicely done!
This makes me sigh..in remembrance of the soft play of the guitar and the hope and promises and how they faded away...by harsh hands. Thank you for sharing..xo
I've heard of John Lennon, never listened to his songs, until 5 minutes ago. Not really my cup of tea, but this particular one had a certain ambiance, I can't say cheerful, but strong and sincere. Personally, I think the whole idea of 'world' or even local piece is naive. However, guitars do bleed in our days! I loved this poem because it was very brief but said A LOT. And by King, I'm guessing you meant Luther? Great write. Thank you.
Was this inspired by that song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (don't know if that's the title, but I know I thoroughly enjoy that jones)? Well, either way, this is clever, and makes me want to pull up some old Beatles joints.
