Chapter 3: Dreams do come true

That morning I went back to the hospital to see Dr. Iuvo. I walk into the hospital and went up to the front desk

 

“I need to see Dr. Iuvo, now” I say

 

“I’m sorry, but you have to make an appointment” The woman at the desk said

 

“Can I make one for the next couple of hours?” I ask

 

“Um, no it will take a week to a month” She said

 

“W- no I need to see him now, do have his address?” I ask

 

“I’m not supposed to give that kind of info-.” She was interrupted

 

“This is urgent!” I yell at her

 

Everyone gives me a scared look

 

“Okay, I really need this, please just do this for me” I say quietly

 

She stared at me for several seconds “Okay fine” she says while getting a piece of paper out “I did not give this to you” She said while giving me the paper with Dr. Iuvo’s Address

 

“Thank you” I say

 

“Don’t mention it” She says

I knock at Dr. Iuvo’s door several times, he answers

 

“P-Peter, what are you doing here” He said confusingly

 

“I need to talk to you, it’s urgent” I say

 

We sit down in his living room “Alright what do you need?” he asks

 

“I had another dream” I start

 

“Was it about the cube?” He asks

 

“No, it was my family…” I pause “I was in the woods, crying, and…” I stop, a tear sneaks out of my eye lid

 

“T-the tree, it had my wife and my kids name on it… it was a grave” I say

 

“A tree?” he asks

 

“I was here to ask if the guy who is researching this, please tell me it was a mistake” I say

 

“Actually… he confirmed it” he said

 

I couldn’t hold back the tears, I start crying, I’m scared and confused, and I didn’t understand how this is even possible

 

“So, what now? Do we just wait for my family to die, or Novus to come to an end?” I ask

 

“To be honest, I don’t know” He admits

 

I just sit here with my face as pale and snow, I nearly broke down.

 

“We could tell the king about this” He said

 

“What are we going to say? ‘This guy can see the future and Novus is going to fall’?” I ask

 

“I’ll send some people and Trevor-.” He was interrupted

 

“Trevor?” I ask

 

“He’s the guy who researched this, anyway I’ll send them up to give the king the news and maybe we can evacuate everybody to Senex” he explains

 

“That’s going take a lot of time” I say

 

“But we’ll still have a chance!” he starts raising his voice

 

Before I can say anything I hear a boom, and it was close by.

 

“What was that” I say with concern

 

“Dreams really do come true, don’t they?” He mumbles

 

I run out of his house, and look around, I see nothing, like it didn’t even happen. Until it started snowing, I look more closely, it wasn’t snow, it was ash, and I look up in the sky to see zeppelins

  with guns, big guns. With a symbol of the cube I was dreaming about. we were being attacked, than I woke up

 

What happened? Did I even talk to Dr. Iuvo? I look in my hand and I see his address

 

 

I sprint over to his house and knock at his door furiously he answers quickly

 

“Peter wha-.” He was interrupted

 

“Was I here?” I ask

 

“When?” he asks

 

“Have I been here at all?” I ask once more

 

“yes, yesterday, the only time you were ever here, we talked about your recent dream and talked about telling it to the king, and yes I already sent them” He explains

 

I sigh in relief “I-I think I have the answer to my dreams”

 

He made a motion to come in to his house and we sit in his living room

 

“What is it?” he asks

 

“We are going to be attacked!” I say

 

At that second I hear a boom, just like the one in my dream, I run outside and I see the ash falling like snow, and I see the war zepplines with the cube symbol

 

“Déjà vu” I mumble
