36 Thoughts I had When I Attended an Indian Wedding

A Story by Etrade Supply Smartphone Parts

Weddings (especially an Indian wedding) can be crazy, day long affairs. I was recently at a family friends one in California, and these are 100% thoughts I had multiple times a day.

These poor, non-Indian people at the hotel are not gonna be prepared for this wedding

Hopefully they find all the dancing and music endearing?

Nope, there is no way they will find the chaos cute at 2 AM

Oh well?!

I need to get changed for event #1!

How does this vintage formal dresses go on again?

Ugh, I forgot how itchy Indian clothes can be. There is no way to be comfortable in this.

BUT at least I’m feeling myself in this outfit *smirk smirk*

Ok, cannot forget the bindi before I go otherwise the outfit will be incomplete

11. Ehh I’m sure I will be fine!

12. This was literally a big mistake…I am not fine.

13. There is so much food here…yasssss

15. Ok, I just need to say hi to these aunties and uncles and I can go 16. Shoot, they want to know about school

17. “It’s going fine!” (if “fine” means barely sleeping and being broke)

18. Ok, time to be polite and ask about their kids

19. Yes, I don’t mind giving you unsolicited college advice *subtly tells them that academics aren’t everything*

20. Finally, Food!!!

21. I love food so much…who can actually hate this?

22. Wow, forget the wedding, I am here for food.

23. I just ate a chili…please, let me survive this

24. Photo opp time? Time to get a new instagram photo.

25. *20 minutes later* When does this event even start?

26. Oh, right now…wow, nobody is seated #lol

27. Wow I wish I could understand what they were saying.

28. When I am married, I’m definitely going to have a translator.

29. Wow, both the bride and groom look so good! I wonder if they know what the pandit is saying.

30. This pyre is definitely a fire hazard.

31. Is it over? Do I clap?

32. Ok, no clapping.

33. Yay, one event down!

34. Wow there is still food yassssss

35. Finally, I get to get out of this outfit….

36. Only to get ready for the next event #3daywedding
