Up I Go

Up I Go

A Poem by wtcarkeek09

My minds jaw chatters and babbles,
It collectively rattles the matters that are channeled in my head.
I've tried pins and needles, the shims and key holes can't hold down;
They creak to crack, wiggle out or snap, unlock the clasp to loose straps!
The music, i've used it, overwhelmed and abused it, cranked up and blew the s**t.
There's no tuning out, it's loud, clear surround, like a dog pound, always a hound.
Suppression will build up, choke me, tilt the cup, erupt the veins, release reigns, It's the last lane change.
Sedatives worked well, until my mood fell, I needed more sky, the peace in my minds eye.
The chase to the edge, the ledge! I couldn't jump.

Theres peace in a dream, head crack out steam, it's a scene.
Quiet in illusion, like a mid-day communion.
Silence in the air, I ponder and stare, wonder for air,
My lungs wont take, realize it's fake, wipe frosting from the cake;
Hear the grumbling, in a tunnel tumbling,
Spat out to reality, face down on one knee, in my hand a key.
C**k back and gulp, i'm in need of no help,
My minds the problem, killing my souls whim.
Release the hammer, unlocking the chatter, clearing the matter, now...
I can climb that latter.
