Where do we find happiness

Do we search for it

Does it find us

Or do we find it

Happiness can be elusive

As we miss it passing by

Hidden in illusions

Within our own minds

We see pain

And suffering

In the search for happiness

As it just passes by

Happiness is real

Even if hard to find

It's worth the search

And it may take time

But in the end

Your search complete

Happiness was always yours

It's sitting at your feet

You are right that happiness is real. Sometimes it comes in different shapes and forms also. The smallest things in life can be the difference from hurt and happiness and sometimes it just comes to us... sometimes we go find it. Loved the words my friend :)

Hi Willard, I think your "mines" = minds. This is a meaningful write. I know I sometimes dive into selfpitty or do my grumpy angry thing, but happiness is always slaps me out of it. Why no punctuation? Have you tried writing sonnets?

Happiness an elusive dream for so many. I have found that happiness comes from the ability to seek contentment from the simple pleasures of life. If one can do that all the rest becomes a blessing
