A Poem For You

A Poem For You

A Poem by Faith
"

if you read closely some of the things i said relate to a couple of my other poems about both of them.

"

I never got around, to making this for you.

But now that your gone, what else is there to do?

When a heart is broken,

It's impossible to make a tear,

you can only mend the pieces back together again.

And that was all you.

At first, you were a stranger.

Just, a use of spare time.

A sweet, funny, and respectful boy.

I didn't see you,

i was too blinded by him.

But, then my eyes became clearer.

Questions, started forming in my head.

'What if?'

Before i knew it, all of my friends knew you inside and out.

I checked my phone more than five times a minute.

My heart is nervous,

there's another.

It was apparent i was falling for you.

I said i had something to ask you,

you said the same.

Both questions were answered,

with the same response.

The days flew by,

you confessed your love for me.

I did as well.

But then something happened,

he entered my head.

those words, those three simple words.

they're so easy to say,

yet difficult to feel.

i questioned your love for me.

You were upset with me,

dissapointed and broken.

all you wanted me to do was say three words.

i could only say two,

'ONE LOVE.'

is what he sais to me,

but, it was a lie.

How could i trust again?

I made you wait,

months flew by,

you moved on.

I lost you.

Flashbacks ran through my head,

like a flick on a screen.

I was lying on my bed,

staring up at the ceiling.

Thinking,

about how we stayed up all night,

and never ran out of words.

the laughs we had together.

The tortoise and the hare.

'I LOVE YOU.'

and i'm not afraid anymore.

I really love your implication. I would like to say that if you start of ryhming, you'll make the ready feel like you'll do the same the rest of the poem. other than that, it was great.

awww, those words are so hard to come by.
It was best to have been said slowly,
you may have had a rapid, and uneasy relationship,
even if it was whimpered to yourself only, ----mishel

This was interesting to read, and seemed to reflect genuine thoughts on the part of the writer. Furthermore, it manages to be emotional, without any sentimentality or exaggeration. Clearly, this is thoughtfully written, and ends with those romantic words, "I LOVE YOU", followed by a closing line of defiance, which states "and i'm not afraid anymore". Thankyou, Faith! I hope that your writing streak continues, by the way! Keep reading, writing, sharing and reviewing....

Beautiful poem! Unrequited love is such a sad thing. It was sweet and yet sad at the same time. i enjoyed reading it and it made me think about some things. Your structure was wonderful! I love that you took the time to break the poem into smaller paragraphs. I think there is a spelling mistakes though... "is what he sais to me," Do you mean says? Over all great write!

Such a sweet, yet sad tale of what may be true common happenings. It touched my heart. Very touching. Good writing.

Wow, this is amazingly happy AND sad. I feel so sad....God. After this site, my self confidence went up, but my happiness decreased dramaticlly. But no matter how you look it, and I don't care who you are, this is excellent. Way to capture the feelings and struggles of those of us who are afraid to admit our true feelings.
