Just About Broken

theres so much i want to say to you.
i wish i could just talk to you, just for a few minutes.
so now it all comes out, on this paper, every word my heart screams,
every question that keeps me up at night.

i miss you.
did you really lie to me, when u said i love you?
i remember when you said it, and my heart grew,
bigger each day, with you by my side,
but then you said that painful word,
goodbye.
and now im waiting for you to come back,
just carry me to where we used to be.
but instead you walk away,
farther each day.
and i wear a new scar for each step you take,
and each time i remember who you used to be.
you stole my heart, but you dont seem to care
and i wish youd take a moment to remember what we had.
and hold me.
and maybe even see these tears behind my eyes,
but i wont cry.
its so hard for me to smile, but i do it just for you.
because i love you, and i want to see you smile, too.
your killing me slowly
and i miss who you used to be,
you made me so happy,
with every second we spent together.
you broke me down, and put my heart back together.
and ill never forget, the song you called ours.
what hurts is you probably didnt like it at all.
but please just know, i wanted you to stay.
i dont like feeling lonely.
your still always on my mind, though i have better things to think about,
i keep trying to forget, but the tears keep pouring ot,
i hate crying over you, cuz you said youd be the one to wipe away me tears.
you made me feel so beautiful,
so safe,
you told me you loved me.....
but i guess you were just lying.
and now i hurt so bad,
i cant do this anymore.

This poem truly draws the reader in. Your pain, your sorrow are universal emotions and your writing causes me to re-evaluate a time in my life in which I truly felt alive...wonderful.
