Magic Of Mistletoe

Magic Of Mistletoe

A Poem by }Echo{
"

Um... This is um.. Very different from what I usually write...

"

I smile,
You grin,
My eyes glow,
And I look outside
At the
Mysterious
Snow…

You love me, right?
You love me, true?

You make me smile,
When I am blue.

You grab my chin,
And turn me
So I’m looking at you,

Then you lean in,
And our eyes
And lips met.

I press against
You,
Running my hands
Along your chest,
You smirk
Mysteriously,
And kiss my neck.

I smile against
You kiss,
You smirk and
Laugh at
My dorkyness.

You nibble against
My skin,
And I slightly
Gasp.

We break apart,
But only our lips,
Because your holding
Me tight,
So I won’t miss.

I look up,
At the ceiling,
And grin,

When I see the
Mistletoe

Above me.

The magic of
Mistletoe
Works again.

Okay, so this is very different from what I usually write... And it's probably horrible...

Thanks.
I feel like this is more of a short story than a poem.

Well, I guess I love horrible poetry because I really love this poem. Simple and sweet and sure, maybe a little "dorky" but just so cute and tender. It reminds me so much of being in love for the first time. Well done!

Ciao,

This is sweet and adorable. One thing: in the stanza "I smile against you kiss..." I think you should be your. Other than that, regardless of the fact that this is different from your usual, it's a great write :)

Arrivederci!

I liked it! I really like your writing, and this isn't your normal writing style, so its really neat to read something different. It gave me the chills! It's very sweet, and makes me feel like the girl in the situation :)

I don't really care if you say that it's horrible, or probably horrible, because I loved this. Although different from your usual, it was amazing still. Great write.

Nice job. This poem has got great flow and the feelings are really passionate, as usual.
Essentially there are 3 parts of good poetry. 1: Meter. 2: Flow (Different from meter) . 3: Content.
You have 2+3. At first glance, a rhyming poem may have a better flow than one that doesn't. But after looking closely a writer can see whether it's forced or flowing.... Don't worry about rhyming. Your flow is great. Your content is also fantastic. Perhaps its time to move up the ranks and become a more developed poet! Subject your future writing to a meter... Great job. Let's see you continue to work on it!
