No Hetero

No Hetero

A Poem by Nicola Taylor

He turned,
they embraced
chesttochest
arms entagled
as if they were
grown that way

followed by a

"No homo"

I turned,
outstretched hands
for concave hips
p u l l e d
and crashed into owned lips
as if curvesoncurves were
engendered that way

followed by a

"No hetero"

Some things
are meant
for more
than
half words
and negations.

Wow...I'm in shock!

This was a great poem. It reminds me of the beat poets somewhat. You should check out Tom Gunn, you'd like his writing.

I also find it rather ironic that the kitty who calls herself the Prince of Darkness, is bothered by such a skillful and mature way of revealing our own sexual foibles. This is a great write, and you have a wonderfully skilled hand.

I look forward to reading more of your work. ;)

I always enjoy reading your poetry, Nicola. This one's a bit more fun because of the way you space your words.
